Cornbread

This is my Mom's recipe for cornbread. We have a tradition that on Halloween night we go to their house for chili and cornbread. Some protein before the sugar crash! This cornbread is easy to put together and tastes great. -Sarah

1 cup cornmeal
1 cup flour
1/4 c. sugar
4 t. baking powder
3/4 t. salt

1 egg
1 cup milk
1/4 cup oil
    • Mix dry ingredients together.
    • Add egg, milk and oil. Pour into a greased pan and bake at 425 degrees for about 20 minutes.
