Taco Meat

I got this recipe from our church cookbook. I have made it so many times! I love that it makes a lot and that it stretches the beef, making it economical. -Sarah

2 pounds ground beef, browned and drained
2 small onions, chopped
16 oz. tomato sauce
16 oz. water
4 t. sugar
2 t. garlic powder
2 t. oregano
2 t. chili powder
2 t. salt
1 t. cumin
1 cup parboiled rice (uncooked)

  • Mix all in a crock pot. Cook on high for 2-4 hours.
  • Watch it as it cooks, it may need some water added to it.
