This is a recipe from my Aunt, Anita. This is such a good recipe for gingerbread. The dough is easy to work with and a great holiday tradition.-Sarah
Combine:
1 cup sugar
1 t. ginger
1/2 t. nutmeg
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. salt
1 1/2 t. baking soda
Add:
1 cup melted butter
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 cup molasses
3/4 t. vanilla
Add:
About 5 1/2 cups flour
Adding flour 1 cup at a time to mixer, the dough will get very thick. Knead dough and chill. Roll out and cut.
Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
