I mean it, this is the best homemade macaroni and cheese recipe...ever! Sarah and I have experimented with a lot of recipes to come to that conclusion...now we don't mess around, when we want mac n' cheese- it's gotta be this stuff! -Kristin
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. flour
1 t. salt
2 c. milk
1/4# Velveeta, cubed
8 oz. cheddar cheese, shredded
2 c. elbow macaroni
2 T. seasoned bread crumbs

- Cook pasta.
- Melt 3 T. butter in pan.
- Blend into butter flour and salt. Stir 1 minute.
- Gradually add milk and cook until thickened.
- Add cheese and stir till melted.
- Mix in the pasta.
- Place into greased 1 1/2 quart baking dish.
- Melt remaining 1 T. butter and toss with the bread crumbs.
- Sprinkle the bread crumb mixture over top.
- Bake 350 for 20 minutes.
