1 c. wheat flour
1 c. flour
1 1/2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. baking soda
3 T. wheat germ
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. nutmeg
1/8 t. salt
3/4 c. buttermilk
3/4 c. unsweetened applesauce
1/2 c. dark brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 T. canola oil
1 t. vanilla
1/2 c. raisins or craisins
1 c. wheat flour

1/2 c. raisins or craisins
- In large bowl whisk the dry ingredients together; set aside.
- In mixing bowl, combine all except raisins and beat with mixer on high until frothy. (about 2 minutes)
- Make a well in the dry ingredient mixture and add wet.
- Fold in dry fruit.
- Bake at 350 for 17-20 minutes in greased muffin pans, makes 18.
