I like to make our own spaghetti sauce, it is cheap and I almost always have all the ingredients in the house. This sauce freezes very well too. This is an awesome recipe. -Kristin
2 T. olive oil
1 large yellow onion
3-4 garlic cloves, minced

1 (28 oz.) can tomato puree (can do diced tomatoes in place of this

1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
2 t. basil

1/2 t. garlic powder
1/2 T. sugar
1 t. salt
1 t. pepper
1/4 c. dried parsley
Saute onion in oil till softened; then add garlic and saute 2 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer at least 10 minutes- or as long as you want. Serve over pasta.
