Tator Tot Casserole

This is my mom's recipe. We thought she was so cool when she served this for dinner... we all loved it. This is a very kid-friendly recipe and adults love it too. My family loves this!! -Kristin

2 lbs. ground beef/or ground turkey
1 medium onion
1 can of cream of chicken
1/2 c. milk
2 lb. frozen tator tots
1 can Durkees fried onions
1 1/2 c. grated sharp or Colby cheese
  • Brown the meat with onion.
  • Put on the bottom of a 9x13 pan.
  • Mix soup with milk and pour over the meat.
  • Place tator tots over sauce.
  • Bake 1 hour at 350 and then sprinkle with the cheese and bake 5 minutes more.
  • Remove from oven and top with the fried onions.
  • Serve with ketchup.
