Low Carb Pizza Crust


This is so good!  My whole family loves this recipe.  Our favorite topping for this is cooked Italian Sausage.  -Kristin

8 ounce softened cream cheese
2 beaten eggs
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
salt and pepper
1/4 cup parmesan cheese

Top with pizza sauce (recipe on blog), mozzarella cheese and whatever pizza toppings you like.
  • Beat the cream cheese.
  • Add the rest of ingredients except sauce and toppings and beat until smooth.
  • Spread in a greased 9x13 dish.
  • Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
  • Let it rest 5-10 minutes.
  • Add the sauce, cheese and toppings and bake until done.

Pull Apart Pizza Bread

Easy pull apart pizza bread!  This is a must try and sure to please recipe!   One recipe of this serves 4.  I doubled it for serving 8 people and made one in a bundt pan and the other in an angel food cake pan, both worked great! -Kristin

2 cans of refrigerated biscuits
2 cups of mozzarella cheese
8 ounce package of pepperoni (I used turkey pepperoni)
2 Tablespoons dried parsley
1/3 cup olive oil
1 cup Parmesan cheese

Optional:  Serve with pizza sauce

  • Grease well a bundt pan and preheat oven to 350.
  • Tear the biscuits into fourths and mix with all ingredients together.
  • Place in bundt pan and bake 26-30 minutes till done.

Meat and Cheese Stromboli


This is a recipe that I've had for years, my family always enjoys this as a change from homemade pizza. It's basic ingredients make a very tasty meal!-Sarah

1 med. onion sliced and separated into rings
1 med. green pepper, sliced and separated into rings
1 T. butter
double pizza crust (recipe on blog)
1/2# thinly sliced hard salami
1/2# thinly sliced ham
8 oz. sliced mozzarella
8 oz. sliced cheddar

garlic powder
basil
oregano

1 egg, beaten
poppy seeds

  • Prepare double pizza crust recipe and let sit.
  • Saute onion and green pepper in butter till crisp tender.
  • On 2 greased cookie sheets roll pizza crust into rectangle.
  • Arrange meat over half the dough (leaving an edge to seal dough)
  • Top meat with cheese and veggies. Sprinkle with seasonings.
  • Fold dough over and pinch to seal edges.
  • Brush with egg and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
  • Bake at 400 degrees 15-20 minutes.

Spinach and Ricotta Pizza


I made this for lunch for Sarah and I and it was awesome. This is a must keep recipe, so delicious! -Kristin

1 Pizza dough recipe, on blog
1 T. olive oil
3/4 c. pizza sauce
Grated Parmesan
1 1/2 c. loosely packed baby spinach leaves
Garlic powder
2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
1/3 c. part-skim ricotta cheese
1 large tomato, or 2 Roma tomatoes, sliced thinly

  • Preheat oven 500.
  • Spread pizza dough onto greased 12 inch pizza pan.
  • Brush olive oil over the dough.
  • Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Top with spinach and sprinkle with garlic powder.
  • Sprinkle on cheese.
  • Place the ricotta cheese in 1 teaspoonfuls evenly around the pizza.
  • Bake in oven for 12 minutes.
  • Take out of the oven and place tomatoes evenly around.

Italian Herb Pizza Crust


This is from a blog that I recently found. I adapted it a bit, and we loved the results! Even my kids loved it, and never said a word about the whole wheat flour. The orange juice seems weird but it's supposed to help cut the flavor of the whole wheat, I guess it worked!-Sarah

3/4 cup warm water
4 T. orange juice
1 T. yeast
1 t. garlic powder
1 t. onion powder
1 t. salt
1 t. basil
1 t. oregano
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup white flour

  • In a bowl combine water, orange juice, yeast, seasonings and Parmesan cheese.
  • Stir in the whole wheat flour. Add the white flour until a soft dough forms, kneading in remaining flour.
  • Let rise for at least 1 hour, pat dough onto greased pan and top with sauce and toppings. Bake at 425 degrees for 20 minutes.

Chicken Caesar Salad Pizza


This is awesome, it is like having salad and an awesome bread stick at the same time. This is so simple and the amounts are up to you. -Kristin

1 Pizza dough cooked and cooled a bit (recipe on blog)
8 oz. package softened cream cheese
Caesar Dressing
Romaine lettuce, diced
Red onion, diced
Tomato, diced
Diced, grilled chicken
Shredded Romano cheese
  • Beat together cream cheese and some Caesar dressing till creamy.
  • Spread over cooled crust.
  • In a bowl mix together the romaine, onion and tomato with some Caesar dressing.
  • Spread over cream cheese layer.
  • Top with diced, grilled chicken.
  • Sprinkle with shredded Romano cheese.

***I make this using just Caesar dressing and no cream cheese. -Kristin

Macaroni and Cheese Pizza


This is a fun pizza for the kids...and adults too! Sarah and I made this today for the kids and they all approved highly. -Kristin

1 box macaroni and cheese
2 eggs
1 1/2-2 cups pizza sauce (recipe on blog)
2 cups mozzarella cheese
sliced pepperoni
Opt. pizza toppings of your choice

  • Make the macaroni and cheese as directed and stir in eggs. Spread into a greased 9x13 baking dish. Bake at 375 for 10 minutes.
  • Top with pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese and pepperoni along with any other pizza topping you would like.
  • Bake another 10 minutes.

Desirae's Taco Pizza


This is a creation from my sister-in-law that we all love. She likes to make this for our family and we never complain! -Kristin

1 Pizza dough recipe (on blog)
Ortega Taco Sauce
Shredded Sharp cheese
1 # ground beef
1 package taco seasoning
1 can sliced olives
1 small onion
chopped lettuce
chopped tomato
sour cream, optional

  • Prepare pizza dough as directed and spread on pizza pan.
  • Spread ortega taco sauce over; set aside.
  • Fry ground beef and drain. Then add the taco seasoning and prepare as directed on package.
  • Sprinkle beef over sauce.
  • Then sprinkle the olives and onions over beef.
  • Spread cheese over.
  • Bake 425 for 15-20 minutes.
  • Serve with chopped lettuce and tomato over top with optional sour cream.

Ramen Noodle Pizza






This is a favorite of my sons, and husband! It's a quick and easy way to get pizza on the table, it's a favorite lunch for my kids too. -Sarah

3 or 4 packages of Ramen Noodles
pizza sauce
toppings of choice
mozzarella cheese
-Cook noodles in boiling water (without seasoning package!) until tender, drain well.
-Place in a HOT oven proof skillet (I use a cast iron one) that is well oiled
-Cook, pressing down on noodles until they form a crusty bottom.
-Take off heat and make as you would a pizza.
-I try to heat my pizza sauce a little bit first, it seems to work better.
-Place in oven and broil until the cheese is bubbly.

The Best Pizza Crust


Really this is the best pizza crust recipe we know of. This is my Mom's recipe. While growing up in our family Friday was pizza night and we always picked her homemade pizza over bought pizza...and now my family prefers homemade too. This is a single crust recipe. I ALWAYS double it, leftover pizza is always awesome to have...if there is any! -Kristin

1 c. warm water
2 1/2 t. yeast
1 1/2 t. salt
1 T. sugar
2 T. oil
3 c. flour

  • Dissolve yeast in water and stir.
  • Add salt, sugar, and oil and mix to combine.
  • Stir in 2 c. flour.
  • Then slowly knead in the remaining 1 cup of flour.
  • Place in greased bowl and cover to let it rise for at least half an hour.
  • Spread out on pizza pan, or jelly roll pan. Put toppings on and bake 425 for 15-20 minutes.

Mulitgrain Pizza Dough



This makes a hearty pizza crust, it's not fluffy like others, but it's got a good flavor and I like the crunch of it. -Sarah

1 cup oat flour*
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup cornmeal
1 t. baking powder
2/3 cup milk
1/4 cup oil

  • Stir together dry ingredients.
  • Add milk and oil, mix well
  • knead gently 10-12 times.
  • Press into greased pizza pan and bake at 425 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
  • Add toppings and bake 10-15 minutes longer.
*To make oat flour, place 1 1/4 cups oats in a blender and blend till fine.
*I make 1 1/2 batches of recipe to make a full cookie sheet.

Pizza Sauce



This is my Mom's homemade pizza sauce, I grew up on this stuff, it's the best. My husband loved it the first time he tried it. It's a classic. It makes enough for 2 homemade pizza's, the sauce freezes well. -Sarah

16 oz. tomato sauce
1 small tomato paste
3/4 t. garlic salt
1/2 t. garlic powder
1 t. basil
1 t. oregano
