I will try to make a long story short...Sarah and I have been close friends for 13 years this coming April. We met at Right to Life of Michigan where we both worked. She was the one who trained me for the job in data entry there. My first thought of her, was that man she asks a lot of questions! I had never met someone before who asked so many questions about myself and my life. We both still joke about this! We clicked though as if we had always known each other. Us meeting there is a clear display of God's providence in our lives. I know God sent me to work there just to meet her due to the circumstances that followed shortly after.
I worked there for 3 weeks and became very sick with what is called Guillian-Barre Syndrome. I ended up in the hospital for a month and then had a long recovery period that made it difficult to go back to work. Sarah visited me in the hospital and we stayed in touch ever since.
We live about 40 minutes away from each other and have always tried through the years to get together at least once a week.
13 years later...We are no longer young newly weds right out of high school. Sarah has 3 boys and I have 3 girls and one boy. Our first 3 kids are all about the same age. (we couldn't have "accidentally" planned this any better!) We have been through many hairstyles, fashions and DIETS together that I totally wish I had picture of to put on the computer- but that was before our digital cameras!
Anyway...we love to cook and bake and wanted to share our recipes with others...and have a place where I (Kristin) wouldn't lose them! -Kristin
